Arts of the Working Class looks forward to encountering both the local art scene and the urban disparities surrounding such entities, which ultimately inspires their existence This afternoon get-together will be composed of a lecture-performance by Justina Los to moisten our rusty hearts, a mix of local and international food and drinks to fill immaterial basic needs, and a micro-panel who will reflect on the cities growth and change under the spell of capitalism and the re-politicization of the arts.
Issue 8: Beyond the Metaphysics of the West, deals with old and new forms of imperialism, structural poverty, and Europe's ambivalent role in the global context. Each boundary draws a line of demarcation that includes and excludes equally: it defines us, the space of the familiar, in solidarity, and the other, occupying the space of the stranger and indifference.
Justina Los´ “Metaphysical Baywatch” will explore how our nonphysical boundaries are floating in between the cultural and economical realms of the European societal patchwork. Is spirituality still reliable? Are the anthropomorphic gods still going to guide us out of the raging floods of intransigent thought pattern? Illustrated by Instagram Wisdoms, this lecture will try to uncover and analyze our deep, dark, and flourishing existential (white supremacist) needs and of visions today.
After having some Cabbage, Cake and Drinks we would like to look back at the past decades and question the paths in which the arts currently navigate, and what determinations should be avoided and which should be pursued. This open micro-panel wants to revise the structural instruments and developments that have shaped the role of Art in the City from a practical perspective, making space to redefine. Everyone is invited to let their guts put a spell on us (słuchajmy brzuchem a śpiewajmy uchem).

Jesteśmy podnieceni ogłoszeniem współpracy Stroboskopu i magazynu Arts of the Working Class w związku z premierowa prezentacją nowego numeru Beyond the metaphysics of the West (Poza metafizykę Zachodu). Arts of the Working Class ma rzetelną nadzieję spotkania się zarówno z lokalną sceną artystyczną jak i miejskimi nierównościami, które są jej hojnym zwierciadłem.
To popołudniowe spotkanie będzie się składać z lekczer-performensu Justiny Los - dla zmiękczenia naszych surowych serc; mieszanki lokalnych i międzynarodowych potraw oraz napojów - dla zaspokojenia podstawowych, niematerialnych potrzeb oraz mikropanelu lodowego podczas którego zastanowimy się nad spazmatycznym rozwojem i zmianą miasta pod wpływem katechetycznego kapitalizmu i ponownego upolitycznienia sztuk ślicznych.
Issue 8: Beyond the Metaphysics of the West (iszu ósmy: Poza metafizykę Zachodu) mówi o starych i nowych formach imperializmu, ubóstwa strukturalnego i ambiwalentnej roli Europy w kontekście globalnym. Każdy różaniec (mur) wyznacza linię rozgraniczającą, który obejmuje i wyklucza w równym stopniu: określa nas, przestrzeń znanego, zsolidaryzowanego oraz tę drugą zajmowaną przez obcego i obojętnego nam.
Justiny Los „Metaphysical Baywatch” zwiastuje, w jaki sposób nasze niefizyczne granice mogą dryfować między kulturowymi i ekonomicznymi wymiarami europejskiej mozaiki społecznej. Czy duchowość wciąż posiada ufną pozycję? Czy antropomorficzni bogowie nadal mogą nas wyprowadzać z bujnych powodzi marnych schematów myśleniowych? Wykład zilustrowany Instagramowymi Mądrościami, będzie próbował odkryć i przeanalizować nasze głębokie, brudne, wciąż rozwijające się potrzeby egzystencjalne (białej supremacji) i wizje teraźniejsze.
Po kapuście, ciastku i drinkach spojrzymy wstecz na ostatnie dziesięciolecia i zakwestionujemy ścieżki, którymi obecnie porusza się ślicznie sztuka. Jakich ustaleń należy unikać, a które należy realizować, bez znaku zapytania. Ten otwarty mikropanel ludowy chce zrewidować instrumenty strukturalne, które ślicznie ukształtowały rolę sztuk w mieście z praktycznego punktu widzenia, aby utworzyć przestrzeń do przedefiniowania ich.
Każdy jest naszym gościem i profetą – nie poddajmy naszego brzucha profanacji a śpiewajmy uchem.
