FOREIGN MATTERS

FOREIGN MATTERS| 26.08-30.08..2026

Karina Puuffin (1997) is a Ukrainian artist based in the Netherlands. Through playful installations and paintings, she blurs the boundaries between humour and critique. Using childlike aesthetics and comics-inspired imagery, she explores identity while questioning where art begins, where it ends, and what it can become.

Alexandra Subota (1994, Germany) creates sculptures and installations inspired by advertising, pop culture, and artificial paradises. Using soft materials, bright colours, and humour, she explores the tension between desire, disappointment, and everyday life.

Erik Aardema (1995, the Netherlands) makes sculptures, photography, and video that explore value, perception, and the built environment. Working intuitively with found materials and processes of decay, he questions how spaces, objects, and systems gain meaning.

Lau Man Pan (1989, Hong Kong) creates paintings, videos and installations that explore belonging, memory and migration. Through personal narratives and collected images, he reflects on identity, displacement, and the experience of living between cultures.
